Helena-West Helena, AR – The Delta Cultural Center will host our second annual Jazz on the River Concert featuring regional musicians from the Midsouth. Join us on May 2, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cherry Street Pavilion in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas, for an evening filled with captivating music by talented Arkansas jazz artists. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Mississippi River, this event promises a blend of soothing jazz melodies and warm, communal vibes.
This will be in conjunction with a planned Teacher Appreciation Event scheduled at the DCC Visitor Center from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Area teachers are invited to attend and celebrate another school year coming to an end. DCC Education staff will be on hand to describe future programs and discuss how best to assist local schools. Food and refreshments will be served.
This year's lineup features Nicky Parrish, Jose’ Holloway, and Ping Rose, each bringing their unique musical flair to the stage. From Parrish’s amazing vocals to Holloway's jazz and hip-hop beats, and Rose’s soulful voice and virtuoso guitar skills, the night will be a showcase of diverse musical talent. The performance schedule is as follows:
5 p.m. – Nicky Parrish
6 p.m. – Ping Rose
7 p.m. – Jose’ Holloway
The concert is free, with no reserved seating, so bring your chairs or blankets and find a spot in front of the Cherry Street Pavilion. Food and beverage trucks will be on-site, along with local restaurant options nearby. There will also be a performance by local young musicians starting at 4:30 p.m.
